Willow In The Wood

Our woodland art space is nestled within the woodland beyond the lake on the Birtley Estate in Bramley, a beautiful Surrey Hills location, so picturesque with its lakes and gardens and woodland walks and not surprisingly it is classified as an "AONB" an area of outstanding natural beauty!

Join Lorraine for a half-day or full-day, outdoor craft workshop and learn to weave with Willow to create an Art piece, a Sculpture you can be proud of!

The Workshop

This year we have categorised our Willow In The Woods workshops to ensure we have a focused workshop but also provide you with a wider choice of crafts to make throughout the year. The categories we have published so far are as follows:

1. Garden Decor

Friday 11th February

In our half-day workshop, choose to make one of the following:

Large Dragonfly (morning)
Willow Sphere (morning/afternoon)
Large Flower (afternoon)

In our full-day workshop, you will be able to choose from one of the following options:

Large Butterfly (all day)
Willow Sphere (all day)
Large Dragonfly (morning)
Large Flower (afternoon)

2. For The Birds

Saturday 12th March

Sunday 12th June (afternoon only)

In our half-day workshop, choose to make one of the following:

Hanging Bird Feeder (morning)
Hanging Bird House (afternoon)

In our full-day workshop, you will be able to make the following:

Willow Sphere Bird House/Feeder

3. Hearts & Platters Workshop

Friday 25th March

Saturday 7th May

In our half-day workshop, you will be able to make one of the following crafts and in the full-day workshop you can choose your preferred combination of up to two crafts:

3D Willow Heart (morning)
Flat Woven Willow Heart, Tree or own design (afternoon)
Tension Tray / Platter (afternoon)

Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and biscuits

Suitability

The workshop is suitable for Adults and Teenagers only. You will be able to work independently or in pairs.

What should I wear?

We recommend you wear comfortable, outdoor clothing and footwear. Please bring a pair of your own secateurs, you may also wish to bring a pair of gloves, to protect your hands.

Groups

We can facilitate private groups and party bookings including hen parties and corporate events, please contact the organiser to discuss your requirements.
